Torticollis, popularly known as curved neck, has many types, but in the muscle-induced type, it occurs as a result of the SKM muscle on both sides of the neck remaining short and tense. It can be diagnosed within 6-8 weeks after birth and may have many causes.
  • Birth trauma
  • Abnormal intrauterine position
  • Absence of part of the cervical vertebrae
  • It is caused by reasons such as imbalance of the eye muscles If it is noticed immediately after birth, it can be corrected with the correct exercise planning under the control of a physiotherapist in a period of 6 months. Consult your physiotherapist for manual active stretches, correct positioning of the baby and all other information about the treatment.
